Afelia (Cypriot Braised Pork)
Pork marinated and braised in red wine and coriander seeds. A delicious dish from the island of Cyprus.

Ingredients
- 2 to 2 1/2 lbs pork shoulder cut in cubes
- 3 TBSP freshly crushed coriander seeds
- 2 cups red wine
- 3 TBSP olive oil
- salt and pepper
Directions
- In a large bowl stir together the pork, coriander seeds, and wine. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
- Pour the pork and marinade into a dutch oven and bring to a boil over high heat.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer, uncovered, for about 1 hour or until most of the liquid has evaporated.
- Add the oil to the pot along with salt and pepper to taste.
- Stir and cook for another 5 more minutes.
