Tender oven baked meatballs made of ground pork and a homemade Mexican chorizo seasoning.

  • 3/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper


  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.

  2. In a large bowl stir together the breadcrumbs, milk, and egg until well combined. Set aside until the breadcrumbs have soaked up the liquid, about 10 minutes.

  3. Add the remaining ingredients to the bowl then use your hands to mix everything together.

  4. Form the mixture into balls roughly 1 1/2 inches in diameter (comes out to about 17 meatballs).

  5. Spread the meatballs out on a rimmed baking sheet then bake in the preheated oven until cooked through, about 15 minutes.
