Classic Deviled Eggs

Hollowed out boiled eggs filled with a mixture of boiled egg yolk, mayo, mustard, and vinegar then sprinkled with smoked paprika.

Classic Deviled Eggs recipe

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 TBSP mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp whole grain mustard
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp smoked paprika



Directions

  1. Place eggs in a large saucepan and cover with cold water.

  2. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once the water begins boiling cover the saucepan and turn off the heat. Let sit covered for 10 minutes.

  3. Transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water and allow to cool for 5 minutes.

  4. Carefully peel the eggs and discard the shell. Cut the eggs in half lengthwise, scoop out the yolks and place them in a mixing bowl along with the mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt & pepper. Use a fork to mash and stir until the mixture is thoroughly combined.

  5. Fill the hollowed egg halves with the filling using a small spoon.

  6. Sprinkle the eggs with the smoked paprika. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
