14.5 oz can green beans
1 egg
1/4 cup flour
1 cup crackers, crushed
1/4 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp paprika
2 cups canola oil


1. Drain green beans from can and place on a paper towel, set aside.

2. Place the flour in a 1 quart plastic Ziploc bag. Beat the egg in a medium size bowl and in a separate bowl mix the cracker crumbs, chili powder, garlic powder, cayenne and paprika.

3. Heat the oil in a dutch oven to about 375 degrees F.

4. Place the green beans in the bag of flour and shake to coat, then in the egg, then in the cracker crumb mixture.

5. In 2 to 3 batches place the green beans in the hot oil and fry for about 2 minutes each batch then transfer to a paper towel lined plate.

6. Sprinkle with salt to taste.
