Feta Psiti (Greek Baked Feta)

Greek feta cheese brushed with oil, garlic, oregano, and red pepper flakes then baked until soft and warm. Great served with pita chips or crackers.

8 ounce block Greek feta cheese
2 TBSP olive oil
1 TBSP red pepper flakes
1 medium garlic clove, minced
1 TBSP dried oregano
pita chips and/or crackers for serving


1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

2. Cut the feta into 1/2-inch slices and lay the slices, overlapping, in a baking dish.

3. In a small bowl combine the oil, red pepper flakes, garlic and oregano.

4. Drizzle or brush the feta slices with the oil and spice mixture.

5. Bake in the preheated oven uncovered for 12 minutes.

6. Remove from the oven and serve immediately with pita chips and/or crackers.
