Garlic and Feta Cheese Ball

A garlicky cheese ball made with cream cheese and feta cheese then coated in toasted walnuts.

Garlic and Feta Cheese Ball recipe

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 8 ounces feta cheese, crumbled
  • 3 medium garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dried dill
  • salt & freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 cup crushed walnut pieces
  • crackers or pita chips for serving



Directions

  1. Toast the walnuts in a skillet over medium heat for about 1 to 2 minutes.

  2. In a large mixing bowl add the cheeses, garlic, oregano, dill, 1/4 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper and mix until thoroughly and evenly combined. Taste and season with additional salt & pepper if needed.

  3. Place the walnuts in a pie plate, roll the cheese mixture into a ball and then roll into the walnut pieces until covered.

  4. Cover the cheese ball and refrigerate at least 4 hours to allow flavors to meld.

  5. Serve with crackers and/or pita chips.
