Garlic Sesame Brown Rice
An Asian style steamed brown rice with garlic, sesame oil, and green onions.

- 1 TBSP peanut oil
- 2 large garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup uncooked long grain brown rice
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 1 green onion, thinly sliced

Directions
- Heat the peanut oil in a medium size saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and rice to the pan and cook while stirring for about 10 seconds. Add the water to the pan, stir to combine and bring to a boil. Cover the pan and reduce the heat to low. Simmer over low heat, without removing the lid, for 30 minutes.
- Take the pan off the heat and let sit, keeping the lid on, for 10 more minutes.
- Drizzle the sesame oil and soy sauce over the rice. Sprinkle in the green onion and gently toss everything together with a fork.
