Garlicky Artichoke and Olive Spread

An easy to make artichoke dip with a punch of garlic and a little crushed red pepper for heat.

Garlicky Artichoke and Olive Spread

14-ounce can of artichoke hearts
2 garlic cloves, peeled
2 TBSP olive oil
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
salt & pepper
1/4 cup roughly chopped black olives
sliced veggies, pita chips, baguette slices, crackers, etc.


1. Drain and rinse the artichokes.

2. Place the artichokes and garlic in a blender or food processor and puree until smooth.

3. Transfer mixture to a bowl and stir in the olive oil, crushed red pepper, olives, 1/8 tsp salt, and just a dash pepper. Taste and season with additional salt & pepper if necessary.

4. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours to allow flavors to meld.
