Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 burger buns
  • optional toppings: lettuce, onion, tomato, etc.

Directions

  1. In a large mixing bowl use your hands to mix together the ground pork, egg, oats, garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.

  2. Roll the pork mixture into 4 equal size balls.

  3. Flatten the pork balls into patties a little larger in diameter than your burger buns then use your thumb to press an indentation in the center of each pork patty (this keeps the patties from balling up when cooking).

  4. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.

  5. Lay the pork patties in the hot pan/griddle and cook until pork is cooked through, 5 to 6 minutes per side.

  6. Serve the pork patties on your burger buns with your favorite toppings.
