Ingredients

2 TBSP unsalted butter
2 medium cloves of garlic, minced
8 ounces orzo pasta
2 cups water
salt and pepper
1 cup frozen peas, thawed
3 TBSP freshly squeezed lemon juice

Directions

1. Melt the butter in a medium size saucepan over medium heat.

2. Add the garlic and orzo and cook while stirring until fragrant, about 20 seconds.

3. Add the water, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp pepper. Stir to combine and bring to a boil.

4. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer, stirring occasionally, 7 to 8 minutes or until the pasta has absorbed all the water.

5. Stir in the thawed peas and lemon juice. Add salt and pepper to taste.
