Lemon Butter Baked Tilapia

Tilapia fillets baked in a lemon garlic butter sauce and garnished with freshly chopped parsley.

Lemon Butter Baked Tilapia recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds tilapia fillets
  • salt & pepper
  • 4 TBSP unsalted butter, melted
  • freshly squeezed lemon juice from 1 medium lemon
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 medium lemon, cut into round slices
  • 2 TBSP freshly chopped parsley

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.

  2. Pat the tilapia fillets dry with paper towels and generously season both sides with salt & pepper. Lay the fish fillets overlapping each other in a 9x13 baking dish.

  3. Mix the butter, lemon juice, and garlic powder in a bowl then pour evenly over the fish. Lay the lemon slices on top of the tilapia. Bake in the preheated oven until fish is cooked through and flaky, 16 to 20 minutes. Take out of the oven and sprinkle with the fresh parsley.
