Make a marinade by mixing together the miso, garlic, honey, soy sauce, sake, and mirin in a large bowl. Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and massage the marinade into the chicken making sure all the chicken is coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 425°F.
Spread out the chicken thighs on a baking sheet skin side up. Roast in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until chicken has an internal temp of 160°F.
