Quick & Tasty Ground Beef Tacos

Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1/2 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 green bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp dried oregano
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 18 tortillas and/or taco shells
- 6 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, finely shredded
- 2 cups shredded lettuce
- optional additional toppings (jalapenos, avocado, sour cream, etc)

Directions
- In a dutch oven or large pan cook the beef, onions, and peppers over medium heat breaking up the beef with a wooden spoon or spatula until beef is browned, about 7 minutes.
- Stir in the water and seasonings and cook, stirring occasionally, until most of the liquid has evaporated or your desired consistency, about 5 minutes.
- Fill your tortillas or shells with the beef, cheese, lettuce and any other of your favorite taco toppings.
