In a dutch oven or large pan cook the beef, onions, and peppers over medium heat breaking up the beef with a wooden spoon or spatula until beef is browned, about 7 minutes.
Stir in the water and seasonings and cook, stirring occasionally, until most of the liquid has evaporated or your desired consistency, about 5 minutes.
Fill your tortillas or shells with the beef, cheese, lettuce and any other of your favorite taco toppings.
