INGREDIENTS
MEATBALLS:
2 ounces Parmesan cheese, shredded
2 large eggs
3/4 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp kosher salt
2 TBSP sour cream
1/4 tsp onion powder
1 tsp dried parsley
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 pound ground beef
1/2 pound ground pork
SAUCE:
2 TBSP olive oil
2 medium garlic cloves, minced
1 large yellow onion, diced
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried parsley
1 tsp Kosher salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
28 ounces tomato puree
14 ounces water
CONVERSION CALCULATOR
DIRECTIONS
Put all the ingredients for the meatballs in a bowl and mix together with your hands or a potato masher.
Form 2-inch meatballs and place in to pie plates.
Microwave each pie plate of meatballs for about 4 minutes.
In the slow cooker combine all the sauce ingredients and stir together.
Add the meatballs, one by one and discard the drippings on the plate.
Cover and cook in the slow cooker on low for 4 hours.
Serve over pasta or as an appetizer with tooth picks.
