Ingredients

Meatloaf:
1/2 cup whole milk
1 1/2 cups hearty bread, cubed in 1/2 inch pieces
1 lb ground beef, 90/10
1/2 lb mild Italian sausage
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
Glaze:
1/4 cup ketchup
2 TBSP sriracha sauce
1 TBSP maple syrup
1.3 tsp apple cider vinegar

Directions

1. Mix the bread and milk in a small dish and let sit 5 minutes.

2. In a large bowl combine the egg, garlic, paprika, thyme, oregano, salt & pepper and whisk together.

3. Lift the bread out of the milk and gently squeeze out milk. Add the bread to the egg mix and mash together with the back of a fork to form a paste. Discard the leftover milk (or feed it to the cat).

4. Add the beef and sausage to the egg mixture and combine well.

5. Form a loaf in loaf pan that will fit inside your slow cooker.

6. Place the pan in your slow cooker and cover with the lid.

7. Turn on LOW and cook 5 1/2 hours.

8. In the meantime mix all the ingredients for the glaze and set aside.

9. Coat with the glaze and cook 30 more minutes.

10. Remove from slower cooker, slice and serve.
