Mix the bread and milk in a small dish and let sit 5 minutes.
In a large bowl combine the egg, garlic, paprika, thyme, oregano, salt & pepper and whisk together.
Lift the bread out of the milk and gently squeeze out milk. Add the bread to the egg mix and mash together with the back of a fork to form a paste. Discard the leftover milk (or feed it to the cat).
Add the beef and sausage to the egg mixture and combine well.
Form a loaf in loaf pan that will fit inside your slow cooker.
Place the pan in your slow cooker and cover with the lid.
Turn on LOW and cook 5 1/2 hours.
In the meantime mix all the ingredients for the glaze and set aside.
