Ingredients
- 3 lbs bone-in country style pork ribs
- 1 onion sliced
- 2 TBSP cooking oil
- 12 oz lager beer
- 1 cup Smoky Honey Mustard BBQ Sauce
- salt and pepper
Directions
- Pat the ribs dry with paper towels and generously season with salt and pepper on both sides. Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Heat the oil in a dutch oven over high heat until oil begins to smoke. In batches sear the ribs for 4 to 5 minutes or until browned and then flip and sear 4 to 5 more minutes.
- Take seared ribs out of the pan and set aside. Add the onions to the pan, turn down the heat to medium-high and cook onions about 3 minutes stirring often.
- Pour in the beer and scrape the bottom releasing any bits stuck on the bottom of the pan.
- Return ribs back into the dutch oven and pour in the bbq sauce. Bring to a boil and then cover the dutch oven and place in the preheated oven.
- Cook ribs in the oven 1 and 1/2 hours then uncover and turn up the heat to 400°F and cook an additional 30 minutes.
