Apple Walnut Quick Bread
Servings: 8 to 10, makes 1 loaf of bread
Total Time: 1 hour to make 30 minutes to cool
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup whole milk
1/2 cup raw honey
1 large egg
1 cup peeled and finely diced Granny Smith apple
1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts
Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly oil a 9x5 loaf pan.
2. In a large mixing bowl combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
3. In a separate bowl whisk together the milk, honey, and egg.
4. Stir the wet mixture in with the dry mixture until fully combined to make the batter.
5. Stir the apple and walnuts into the batter.
6. Pour the batter into the loaf pan and bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
7. Allow to cool in the pan for 15 minutes then transfer to a cooling rack for 15 more minutes before serving.
