Spicy Beef and Mushroom Stir Fry

Ingredients
1 pound boneless top sirloin cut into 1/4-inch thick pieces
1 TBSP red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
6 TBSP soy sauce, divided
1 TBSP corn starch
3/4 cup beef broth
1 TBSP chili garlic sauce
1 TBSP peanut oil
1 green bell pepper, chopped
8 ounces white mushrooms, sliced
3 green onions, thinly sliced
steamed rice for serving
Directions
1. In a shallow bowl mix red pepper flakes, black pepper and 3 TBSPs of the soy sauce.
2. Place beef in soy sauce mixture and turn to coat, cover bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
3. In another bowl mix the other 3 TBSP of soy sauce with the cornstarch, chili garlic sauce, and beef broth.
4. Heat the oil in a wok over med-high heat then add the marinated beef. Cook beef, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes. Transfer beef to a plate and set aside.
5. Add the peppers to the wok and cook for about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
6. Add the sliced mushrooms in with the peppers and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 4 minutes, or until mushrooms are lightly browned.
7. Add the beef back into the wok. Stir the soy sauce mixture and pour into the wok. Cook for about 3 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
8. Stir in the green onions and serve over cooked rice.
