Crispy Picnic Chicken Thighs

Ingredients
4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
1 TBSP chili powder
1 TBSP sugar
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 TBSP kosher salt
1 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 tsp cayenne
Directions
1. Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels and set aside.
2. Mix all other ingredients together in a bowl. Rub seasoning all over chicken thighs making sure to some under the skin as well. Cover chicken and refrigerate for 6 hours.
3. Preheat oven to 425° F.
4. Place chicken thighs skin side up on a wire rack above a sheet pan and place in the preheated oven.
5. Cook chicken for 20 minutes then increase oven temperature to 500° F and cook an additional 10 minutes.
6. Remove chicken from oven.
7. Serve chicken warm or cold either way is delicious.
