Breakfast Sausage Patties

Homemade breakfast sausage patties made with ground pork, sage, garlic, paprika, and crushed red pepper.

Ingredients

1 pound ground pork
2 tsp dried sage
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes


Directions

1. Add all the ingredients to a large mixing bowl and use your hands to combine everything thoroughly.

2. Separate the pork mixture into 8 equal-size balls (about 2 ounces each).

3. Lightly press each ball between the palms of your hands into a disk shape roughly 3-inches in diameter. Use your thumb to make a small indentation in the center of each disk.

4. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. When hot add the sausage patties to the pan and cook until browned and the pork is cooked through, 2 to 3 minutes per side.
