1 lb ground beef
1 TBSP onion powder
1 TBSP garlic powder
1/2 TBSP dried rosemary
1/2 TBSP oregano
1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp fresh ground pepper
diced tomatoes
red onion, thinly sliced
feta cheese, crumbled
6 pitas


1. Preheat oven to 325° F.

2. Add the beef, onion powder, garlic powder, rosemary, oregano, salt and pepper in a food processor and process about 1 minute or until the mixture becomes a paste.

3. Spread mixture evenly on the bottom of a loaf pan. Place the loaf pan in a water bath and bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

4. Remove beef from pan and place on a cooling rack above a sheet pan. Place aluminum foil over the beef and place a heavy object, such as a cast-iron pan, on top. Allow to sit for 20 minutes.

5. Place the beef on a cutting board and slice as thin as possible.

6. Warm your pitas and fill with beef. Top with the tzatziki sauce, sliced onion, tomatoes and feta cheese.
