Tex-Mex Baked Chicken Wings

Crispy oven baked chicken wings dry rubbed with a mix of paprika, cumin, garlic, onion, oregano, and cayenne pepper.

Tex-Mex Baked Chicken Wings

4 pounds chicken wings (separated into wingettes & drumettes)
1/4 cup paprika
1 TBSP baking powder
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
ranch dressing for serving


1. Pat the wings dry with paper towels and place in a large mixing bowl.

2. Mix the spices together in a small bowl until well combined. Sprinkle the spice mix over the chicken wings and toss together to coat all the wings evenly in the spice mix.

3. Place the wings in a single layer on a 2 wire baking racks above 2 foil lined baking sheets. Refrigerate uncovered for 1 hour.

4. Preheat the oven to 250°F. Take the wings out of the fridge and set aside while the oven preheats.

5. Place the wings in the oven and bake for 30 minutes.

6. Turn the oven heat up to 425°F and bake for 40 more minutes.

7. Let the wings rest for 10 minutes then serve with ranch dressing on the side.
