Jalapeno Popper Cheese Ball

8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
1 cup jarred jalapenos, diced
1/4 tsp granulated garlic
1/2 cup shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup Panko breadcrumbs
1 TBSP butter
1/8 tsp salt
2 tsp Parsley flakes


1. Mix the cream cheese, jalapenos, cheddar and granulated garlic in a bowl.

2. Form a ball with the cheese mixture and refrigerate, covered, for at least and hour.

3. In the meantime make the breading: Heat a 12 inch skillet over medium-low heat and melt the butter. Add the breadcrumbs, salt & parsley. Stir constantly until browned and toasted. Allow it cool at room temperature.

4. Coat the chilled cheese ball with the breadcrumbs.

Serve with tortilla chips and/or your favorite cracker.

Notes & Tips

This also makes a great dip. Press the cheese mixture into a baking dish and sprinkle with the breadcrumbs. Bake at 350 till warm and bubbly, about 20 minutes.
