Bacon Blue Cheese Burgers

Ingredients
1 lb ground beef 85/15
2 oz crumbled blue cheese
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 egg
4 slices homemade bacon
2 Challah buns or hamburger buns
optional:
lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo
Directions
1. In a large bowl combine the ground beef, blue cheese, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and egg. Mix thoroughly with your hands.
2. Divide the beef mixture into two balls. Make each ball into a patty about 1/2 inch thick around 1/2 inch bigger around then your bun. Cover patties and refrigerate for 1 hour.
3. Fry your bacon to your desired crispness and set aside.
4. Pull patties out of the fridge and heat a large non-stick skillet over high heat.
5. Cook the burgers for 4 minutes then flip and cook for 4 more minutes.
6. Place the cooked patties on your bottom buns and top with bacon. if desired add lettuce, onion, mayo, etc.

Notes/Tips
This recipe makes a medium burger. If you like your burger cooked more or less adjust cooking times accordingly.
