Total Time: 1 hour
Recipe by: Frankie

Ingredients

The Dough:
1 packet active dry yeast (1/4 oz or 2 1/4 tsp)
1 cup warm water
1 TBSP honey
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 TBSP cooking oil plus a little extra
1 tsp salt
The Toppings:
4 thick slices (about 6 ounces) raw bacon, diced
1/2 lb ground beef
salt & pepper
6 ounces tomato paste
1/4 cup diced red onion
1 tsp prepared mustard
8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup diced pickles

Directions

The Dough:

1. In a stand mixer or large bowl mix the yeast, honey and water. Let stand 10 minutes or until it begins foaming.

2. Add the 1 TBSP oil, salt, and flour and mix until well combined and dough pulls away from sides of bowl.

3. Add a little oil to the bottom of a separate large bowl, set aside.

4. Knead the dough 10 minutes by hand or about 5 minutes using a stand mixer with a dough hook.

5. Form the dough in a ball and place in the oiled bowl, flip dough ball around to lightly cover in the oil. Loosely cover with plastic wrap and put in a warm place to rise for 30 minutes.

The Toppings:

1. Cook the diced bacon in a large pan over medium heat until crisp, remove bacon with a slotted spoon to a paper towel to drain. Discard bacon fat from the pan except for about 1 tsp.

2. Cook the ground beef in the bacon fat, breaking up into small pieces, until well browned, add salt and pepper to taste. Remove cooked beef with a slotted spoon to a paper towel to drain.

3. In a small bowl mix the tomato paste, onion, and mustard.

To Assemble:

1. Preheat the oven to 450°F.

2. Lightly oil a pizza pan or baking sheet. Stretch the dough to fit on your pan.

3. Spread the sauce mixture evenly over the dough, sprinkle on the cheddar cheese, then the bacon, then the beef, top with the diced pickles.

4. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 17 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
