Pan Seared Cast-Iron Flat Iron Steak

Ingredients
1/3 cup soy sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 TBSP plus 1 TBSP olive oil
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp garlic powder
freshly ground black pepper
1 to 1-1/2 pound flat iron steak
Directions
1. In a bowl mix together the soy sauce, vinegar, 2 TBSP olive oil, red pepper flakes, garlic and pepper.
2. Place steak in a shallow bowl and pour marinade on top. Turn steak several times to coat. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
3. Heat the 1 TBSP olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until oil begins to smoke.
4. Place steak in the cast-iron pan and cook on each side for 4 minutes.
5. Place steak on a cutting board and cover with foil. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
