INGREDIENTS

  • 16 ounces cavatappi pasta
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 cups chopped rotisserie or other cooked chicken
  • 4 medium garlic cloves, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • salt
  • freshly grated Parmesan cheese for serving



DIRECTIONS

  1. Cook the pasta in a large pot according to package directions then drain the pasta reserving 1/4 cup of the pasta water and set aside.
  2. Stir together the olive oil, chicken, garlic, crushed red pepper, and 1 tsp salt in the now empty pot over medium heat then cook, stirring often, until garlic becomes fragrant, 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. Take the pan off the heat then gently stir in the cooked pasta and reserved pasta water.
  4. Taste the pasta and season with salt if needed.
  5. Serve topped with freshly grated Parmesan.
