In a large bowl mix together the ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, and salt until well combined.
Add the chicken drumsticks to the bowl then toss to coat.
Cover the bowl and allow to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours (up to 12 hours).
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Line a large rimmed baking sheet with foil then place a baking rack on top.
Take the chicken out of the refrigerator and lay the chicken drumsticks in a single layer onto the baking rack then brush any excess marinade left in the bowl onto the chicken.
Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for about 50 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
take the chicken out of the oven and set aside to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
