INGREDIENTS
3 slices of
bacon
, small chopped
1 TBSP unsalted butter
8 ounces orzo pasta
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 cups water
salt and freshly ground black pepper

DIRECTIONS
Cook the bacon pieces over medium-high heat in a medium size saucepan until crispy, about 5 to 6 minutes.
Remove the cooked bacon to a plate and set aside, leaving the bacon fat in the pan.
Add the butter, orzo, and garlic to the pan then stir for about 30 seconds or until fragrant.
Slowly pour in the water then use a wooden spoon to scrape the bottom of the pan to release any stuck on bits of bacon.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce the heat to medium-low then cook, stirring often, 7 to 8 minutes or until the pasta has absorbed the liquid.
Stir in the bacon then season with salt & pepper to taste.
