INGREDIENTS

  • 1 TBSP peanut oil
  • 1/4 cup diced yellow onion
  • 1 medium garlic clove, minced
  • 2 medium ripe banana, peeled and mashed
  • 1 TBSP tomato paste
  • 1 TBSP soy sauce
  • 1 TBSP apple cider vinegar
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/8 tsp salt



DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat the oil in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion and garlic to the pan and cook, stirring often, until the onion has softened a bit, about 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in the mashed banana, tomato paste, soy sauce, vinegar, cayenne, and salt.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook, stirring often, for about 2 more minutes.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a blender and blend until smooth.
