INGREDIENTS
6 cups water
3/4 cup uncooked long-grain brown rice, rinsed thoroughly
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup uncooked long-grain white rice, rinsed thoroughly

DIRECTIONS
Heat the water in a large saucepan over medium-high heat until the water boils.
Stir the uncooked brown rice and 1/4 tsp salt into the boiling water and boil the rice, uncovered, stirring occasionally, for about 20 minutes
Now stir in the uncooked white rice and return to a boil.
Reduce the heat to medium-low and continue to cook, uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes.
Drain the rice then return the drained rice to the now empty saucepan.
Place a lid on the saucepan and set the pan aside, off the heat, for about 15 minutes.
Fluff the rice with a fork.
