Easy Buttermilk Cornbread
An easy to make cornbread made with buttermilk, cornmeal, butter, egg, and all-purpose flour.

- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 4 TBSP unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 large egg, beaten

Directions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F.
- Mix together all the ingredients in a large bowl until well combined.
- Scrape the batter into an 8x8-inch baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven until browned on top, about 25 minutes.
- Allow to cool then use a butter knife or thin spatula to cut squares of cornbread out of the pan.
