Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover with water then bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
When the water begins to boil turn off the heat then place a lid on the pan and let sit for 10 minutes.
Rinse the eggs under cold water until cool enough to handle.
Peel the shell off the eggs. Slice the eggs in half lengthwise then remove the yolks and place them in a bowl.
Peel and seed the avocado then roughly chop and place in the bowl with the egg yolks.
Use the back of a fork to mash the avocado and yolks then stir in the remaining ingredients (garlic, onion, lime juice, jalapeno, cumin, salt, and pepper) until well combined.
