INGREDIENTS

  • 2 pounds fresh ripe tomatoes
  • water

DIRECTIONS

  1. Use a sharp knife to cut a shallow X mark on the bottom (the opposite side of where the stem would be) of each tomato.
  2. Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
  3. Add the tomatoes to the boiling water and boil for 1 to 2 minutes, or until the skin of the tomatoes begin peeling away.
  4. Rinse the tomatoes under cool water and when the tomatoes are cool enough to handle peel off the skins, the skins should peel off easily.
