No Knead Rye Sandwich Bread recipe

servings: 6

total time: 1 hour

recipe by:

Ingredients

  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 2 1/4 cups warm water
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 1 cup medium rye flour
  • 1 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 TBSP caraway seeds
  • olive oil

Directions

  1. In a large mixing bowl stir together the yeast and water then stir in the flours, salt, and caraway seeds until well combined.

  2. Lightly oil an 8x4-inch bread loaf pan with olive oil then spread the dough into the loaf pan evenly.

  3. Set the loaf pan aside and allow the dough to rise for about 20 minutes.

  4. Preheat the oven to 375°F.

  5. Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 45 minutes.

  6. Take the bread out of the oven and remove the bread from the loaf pan onto a wire rack (you may need to go around the edges with a thin spatula or knife to release the bread) and allow to cool before slicing.
