Slow Cooker Lemon Chicken and Orzo

Ingredients
4 bone-in chicken thighs, skin removed
1 large yellow onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 TBSP unsalted butter
2 TBSP lemon juice
1 tsp lemon zest
3 cups chicken broth
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper
1 pound uncooked orzo pasta
Directions
1. Place the chopped onion in the bottom of the slow cooker. Lay the chicken thighs on top.
2. Mix together the garlic, butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, broth, salt, and pepper in a bowl then pour over the chicken. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 4 hours.
3. Remove the chicken from the slow cooker, pull the chicken from the bones into bite size pieces. Discard the bones and return the chicken to the slow cooker.
4. Stir the orzo into the slow cooker and cook, covered, stirring occasionally, for 30 to 40 minutes or until orzo is cooked. Add salt and pepper to taste.
