Baked Suya Chicken Wings
Oven baked chicken wings tossed in a spicy homemade Nigerian suya sauce.

Ingredients
- 2 pounds chicken wings, separated into wingettes and drumettes
- 2 tsp peanut oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 TBSP natural peanut butter
- 2 TBSP soy sauce
- 1 TBSP water
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp sweet paprika
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F.
- Line a large (13x18-inch) rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil then place a wire baking rack on the baking sheet.
- Pat the wings dry with paper towels and place them into a large mixing bowl.
- Drizzle the peanut oil over the wings then sprinkle on the salt and toss to coat.
- Lay the chicken wings in a single layer onto the baking rack keeping the wings at least 1-inch apart from each other.
- Bake the wings in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes or until cooked through.
- Take the wings out of the oven and set aside.
- In a large bowl mix together the peanut butter, soy sauce, water, ginger, garlic, onion, paprikas, and cayenne until well combined.
- Put the wings in the bowl with the sauce and toss to coat.
