Cabbage with Onions, Apples and Dill

Ingredients
2 TBSP vegetable oil
1 yellow onion, julienne
1 apple, peeled, cored and sliced
1 head green cabbage, shredded
salt
pepper
1/2 cup beer
2 TBSP dill, chopped
1 tsp sugar
Directions
1. In a large skillet brown the onions and apples over medium-high heat in the oil.
2. Add the cabbage (do not stir) and season with salt & pepper. Add the beer and cover.
3. Lower heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Uncover and stir together.
4. Continue simmering over medium-low until most of the moisture has evaporated.
5. Add the dill and sugar and stir together.
6. Taste and season with salt and pepper if needed.
7. Spoon into a serving dish leaving any excess liquid behind.
8. Garnish with more chopped dill if you wish.
