INGREDIENTS
2 pounds Yukon gold potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch pieces
4 TBSP unsalted butter
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup heavy cream
salt & freshly ground black pepper

DIRECTIONS
Place the potatoes in a large pot and cover with water. Stir in 1/2 tsp salt and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
Cook potatoes until tender, about 15 minutes.
Drain the potatoes and set aside.
Add the butter, garlic, and heavy cream to the now empty pot and warm over medium-low heat until butter has melted.
Add the cooked potatoes and cream mixture to a large bowl. Mash the potatoes well with a potato masher.
Taste the potatoes and season with salt & freshly ground black pepper.
