INGREDIENTS
1 pound fresh green beans, rinsed and trimmed
2 TBSP unsalted butter
1/3 cup raw sliced almonds
2 medium garlic cloves, minced
salt & freshly ground black pepper

DIRECTIONS
Place the green beans in a large saute pan and cover with cold water then stir in 1/2 tsp salt and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
Cover the pan then reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer the beans for about 3 minutes.
Drain the beans and set aside.
Melt the butter in the now empty pan over medium-high heat.
Add the sliced almonds to the pan and cook, stirring often, until the almonds are lightly browned, 1 to 2 minutes.
Stir in the garlic and green beans then cook, stirring occasionally, for about 1 minute.
Season with salt & pepper to taste.
