Pork and Sage Meatloaf

Ingredients
1 cup dried breadcrumbs
1/2 cup whole milk
1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 pounds ground pork
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 TBSP finely chopped fresh sage
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. Mix together the breadcrumbs and milk in a large mixing bowl and set aside for 5 minutes to allow the breadcrumbs to soak up the milk.
3. Add the onion, garlic, pork, egg, sage, salt, and pepper to the bowl and mix until thoroughly combined.
4. Shape the mixture into a rectangle roughly 5x8x2 inches and place on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
5. Increase the heat to 425°F and bake for 15 to 20 more minutes or until well browned on the outside and meatloaf has an internal temperature of at least 160°F.
6. Remove meatloaf from the oven and allow to sit for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
