INGREDIENTS

  • 3 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal
  • salt & freshly ground pepper
  • 4 TBSP unsalted butter



DIRECTIONS

  1. In a medium size saucepan stir together the water, milk, cornmeal, 1/4 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp pepper then bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Reduce heat to low and continue to cook, while stirring, until the polenta thickens, about 5 minutes.
  3. Take the pan off the heat and stir in the butter until melted and well combined.
  4. Season with salt & pepper to taste.
