Whole Wheat Cherry Banana Muffins

Ingredients
4 TBSP unsalted butter, melted
2 medium ripe bananas, peeled
1 cup plain Greek yogurt
1 large egg, beaten
1/2 cup whole milk
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
8 ounces fresh sweet cherries, pitted and chopped
Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
2. Use a pastry brush to brush the inside of the muffin tins well with about 1 TBSP of the melted butter.
3. Pour the remaining melted butter into a large mixing bowl. Add the peeled bananas to the bowl and mash with a potato masher until well mashed.
4. Add the yogurt, egg, and milk to the bowl and stir until well combined.
5. Add the flour, baking powder, and baking soda to the bowl and stir until well combined.
6. Add the cherries and stir until combined.
7. Spoon the batter into the muffin tins about 3/4-full then bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
8. Allow muffins to cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes before serving. Makes about 15 muffins.
