Ingredients
- THE DOUGH:
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 packet active dry yeast (about 2 tsp)
- 1 TBSP honey
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 TBSP plus 1 tsp olive oil, divided
- THE TOPPINGS:
- 3 TBSP unsalted butter, softened
- 4 medium garlic cloves, minced
- 4 ounces (1 cup) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 ounces (1 cup) shredded white cheddar cheese
- 4 ounces (1 cup) shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup freshly chopped parsley
Directions
- THE DOUGH:
- In a stand mixer or large bowl mix the water, yeast, and honey. Let rest 10 minutes or until yeast begins to foam.
- Add the flour, salt, and 1 TBSP of the oil, mix until well combined and dough pulls away from sides of bowl.
- Knead the dough 10 minutes by hand or about 5 minutes using a stand mixer with a dough hook.
- Form the dough into a ball and place in a large bowl with the remaining 1 tsp of olive oil. Flip the dough ball around to cover in the oil then cover the dough with a damp towel and put in a warm place to rise for about 45 minutes.
- ASSEMBLY:
- Preheat oven to 450°F. Lightly oil a large 16-inch pizza pan.
- Punch down the dough and stretch or roll it out onto your pizza pan.
- In a small bowl mix together the softened butter and minced garlic.
- Spread the garlic butter all over the top of the pizza dough. Sprinkle the mozzarella, cheddar, and Monterey Jack cheeses evenly on top (save the Parmesan for later).
- Bake in the preheated oven until crust is golden brown, 13 to 15 minutes.
- Take pizza out of the oven and sprinkle the Parmesan and parsley all over the top. Slice and serve.
