Homemade Garlic and Herb Breadsticks
Soft Homemade breadsticks infused with garlic, oregano, parsley, and basil.

Ingredients
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 2/3 cup warm water
- 2 cups bread flour plus a little extra
- 2 TBSP plus 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp dried parsley
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
- 1 TBSP unsalted butter, melted
Directions
- In a large bowl mix together the yeast and water. Stir in the flour, 2 TBSP oil, garlic, salt, oregano, parsley, and basil until well combined and a dough is formed. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured work surface and knead for 5 minutes.
- Form the dough into a smooth ball and place into a large clean bowl. Drizzle the 1 tsp of oil over the dough ball. Flip the dough around a couple times to cover in the oil. Loosely cover the dough and set in a warm place to rise for 1 hour.
- Punch down the dough and separate into 8 equal size balls. Roll the dough balls into breadstick shapes roughly 7-inches long and 1/2-inch thick. Place the breadsticks on a baking sheet at least 1-inch apart. Sprinkle a little flour on the top of the breadsticks and let sit for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Bake the breadsticks in the preheated oven for 12 to 14 minutes or until lightly golden.
- Take the breadsticks out of the oven and brush the tops with the melted butter.
