INGREDIENTS
2 pounds Yukon gold potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces
salt & freshly ground black pepper
4 TBSP unsalted butter, melted
3/4 cup buttermilk, room temperature

DIRECTIONS
Place the potatoes and 1 tsp of the salt into a large saucepan then completely cover with cold water at least 1-inch above the potatoes.
Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
Reduce the heat to medium and cook the potatoes until tender, 15 to 20 minutes.
Drain potatoes then put them into a large bowl.
Add the butter and buttermilk to the potatoes then mash with a potato masher until you reach a desired consistency.
Season with salt & pepper to taste.
