- 2 TBSP olive oil
- 1 pound uncooked orzo pasta
- 2 medium garlic cloves, peeled and minced
- salt & freshly ground pepper
- 4 cups water
- 1 broccoli crown, chopped small
- 2 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Directions
- Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat.
- Add the orzo, garlic, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp pepper to the pot and cook while stirring for about 1 minute.
- Stir in the water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer uncovered, stirring often, about 7 to 8 minutes or until most of the liquid is absorbed.
- Stir in the chopped broccoli and cook, stirring often, for about 1 more minute.
- Take the pot off the heat then stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted.
- Add salt & pepper to taste.
