- 1 pound uncooked orzo pasta
- 5 medium garlic cloves, peeled and minced
- salt & pepper
- 4 cups water
- 2 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Directions
- Melt the butter in a large pot over medium-high heat.
- Add the orzo, garlic, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp pepper to the pot and cook while stirring for about 1 minute.
- Stir in the water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer uncovered, stirring often, about 7 to 8 minutes or until the liquid is absorbed.
- Take the pot off the heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted. Add salt & pepper to taste.
