A Dan Dan style noodle dish made with a spicy Sichuan peanut butter sauce, spaghetti pasta, a sweet and spicy ground pork and sprinkled with chopped peanuts and sliced green onion.
When the pan is hot add the crushed red pepper and ground Sichuan peppercorns to the pan and cook, while stirring, for just a few seconds.
Stir the peanut oil into the pan with the spices until well combined and cook while stirring for a few more seconds.
Now stir in the garlic, peanut butter, soy sauce, sesame oil, and water until well combined.
Transfer the sauce to a bowl and set aside.
MAKE THE PORK:
Add the ground pork to the now empty wok over medium-high heat and cook, while breaking up the pork, until the pork is well broken up and no longer pink, about 6 minutes.
Stir the water, soy sauce, honey, vinegar, and five-spice powder in with the pork until well combined then reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer, stirring occasionally, while you make the noodles.
MAKE THE NOODLES:
Cook the noodles according to the package directions then drain and set aside.
TO SERVE:
Divide the sauce evenly among 4 bowls.
Divide the noodles evenly into the bowls on top of the sauce.
